
Nurturing Faith and Togetherness in the Light of ChristmasIn an atmosphere filled with gratitude and togetherness, the extended family of the Department of Educational Administration and Management at Universitas Pattimura held a Christmas Worship Service at Lateri Beach Resto on Saturday, December 13, 2025. This event served as a spiritual moment that brought together lecturers, students, alumni, and the broader departmental community in a warm and harmonious family spirit.
The Christmas worship was led by Liturgist Mrs. Alberthin Gabriela Reskir, with the Christmas reflection delivered by Reverend Ricky Lesbassa. In his message, Reverend Ricky invited all attendees to reflect on Christmas as a profound event of faith that brings peace, strengthens bonds of brotherhood, and encourages every member of the academic community to express love through concrete actions, both on campus and within society.
The warmth of the worship service was felt from beginning to end, reflecting the strong sense of intergenerational togetherness that characterizes the department’s community. Christmas was not merely celebrated as an annual tradition, but also embraced as a shared reflection on the values of faith and humanity within the world of education.
Representing the faculty members, Prof. Izaak Hendrik Wenno shared his Christmas message, emphasizing that this celebration is an important opportunity to reinforce academic solidarity, cultivate exemplary leadership, and strengthen a spirit of service oriented toward character building and integrity among members of the academic community.
Meanwhile, representing the students, Risty Okta Nawangwulan expressed her hope that the spirit of Christmas would continue to serve as positive energy in fostering harmony, collaboration, and a culture of mutual support throughout the learning process and personal development within the department.One of the symbolic highlights of the worship service was the candle-lighting procession, which represented light, hope, and unity. This procession was participated in by the Head of the Doctoral Program (S3) in Educational Administration, Prof. Dr. R. Kempa; the Head of the Master’s Program (S2) in Educational Management, Dr. Paul Arjanto; the Head of the Undergraduate Program (S1) in Educational Administration, Vando Makaruku; leaders of the Communication and Alumni Forums; as well as the Chair of the Organizing Committee, Liza Loupatty.
The Christmas celebration was further enriched by various performances, including vocal group presentations, Christmas hymns, and poetry recitations, which enhanced the solemnity of the worship while showcasing the creativity and faith expressions of the academic community.
Through this Christmas celebration, the Department of Educational Administration and Management at Universitas Pattimura reaffirmed its commitment to nurturing the values of faith, brotherhood, and togetherness as a foundation for strengthening a character-based academic culture, service-oriented practices, and meaningful contributions to society.
